Treaty on Wisdom I

The Sotapanna

THE CONTENTS of the mind are infected with memes. Trying to find a solution to this through logical reasoning is doomed to failure. You cannot wash your hands with dirty water. I have come to the conclusion that if I turn to others to get to know me, it is done through memes. So reaching wisdom will consist of knowing without learning, without having heard. Eliminating memes, the solution is to stop the brain, stop the area of language where memes live and short-circuit the limbic system to put order and stop suffering. Then everything is to find a pleasant place to explore the mind and travel where it takes you. I found that being a Buddhist is incompatible with enlightening oneself. Buddhism only seeks enlightenment and Buddhists, to be happy. And happiness is the drug that its absence causes suffering. Exactly the opposite.

The figure of an old Diogenes, armed with a cane, a cloak, a lantern lit in broad daylight and accompanied by a dog, could not redeem humanity because humanity, satisfied in its misfortune, does not want to be redeemed. I’m talking about the one who laughs at the one who suffers because he suffers for a fool. Let’s see if like this, shaking it with force or with a cane, it wakes up. This book is a mental shaker, with keys that open doors of thought. I have known my mind, know yours now.
